Bee Happy Childcare is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6.00 pm.

​

We are registered with the HSE for private childcare, ECCE schemes, NCS, after-school programmes. It is the policy of our service to fully comply with all HSE regulations set out for us in the Childcare pre-school regulations 2016 and any amendments to same.  All staff, volunteers & work experience students are Garda vetted, references checked and qualifications verified before they begin with 'Bee Happy Childcare'.

All staff holds a minimum Fetac Level 5 qualification in Childcare.

Staff Ratios:

2-3 years = 1 : 6
3-5 years = 1 : 11 

Afterschool = 1 : 12

 

Here at Bee Happy Childcare, we provide a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment where children can learn and grow at their own pace and each child’s specialised needs, strengths and weaknesses are met in a holistic manner to help them meet their full potential. We have toddler and preschool rooms and Aistear play based curriculum which provides children with positive learning experiences emerging from their personal interests. Children are seen as self-directed learners and we support and encourage them to take their interests further by facilitating their play in a routine based and structured environment. Our team of practitioners are experienced and knowledgeable about children’s needs and how these can be met. Early years educators support the children’s learning by encouraging self-care, independence, curiosity, social skills, respect for others and emotional literacy in each of the age-appropriate environments. The practitioners are professional, model positive interactions and strive to deliver the highest standard of care and education possible.

We have engaged the services of the better start programme – which promotes high-quality care through mentorship, we engage in continuous professional development and liaise with The Department of Education, Galway City Childcare Committee and Early Childhood Ireland to keep abreast of changing regulation and maintain our high standards in line with childcare regulations.
